Hand Knotted Rugs

Hand knotted rugs are made by skilled weavers who hand tie every knot. Traditionally made with wool or  silk the weaver ties each knot around the warp threads one at a time. A rug can consist of 25 to over 9000 knots per square inch (kpsi) and can take many months to produce just one rug. Each rug becomes a one-of-a-kind hand made piece of art.

We have hand knotted rugs starting as low as $299.00 for a 5′ x 8′.

Since hand knotted rugs take the longest to make, therefore the cost is typically greater than hand tufted or machine made rugs. Click the link to read our article about Counting Knots.
